Worked examples

  1. Generating detailed prompts for an AI image generator

    A workload sending 15,000 input tokens (context + prompt) and receiving 500 output tokens (the generated prompt). Cost: (15,000 / 1,000,000 * $0.25) + (500 / 1,000,000 * $1.00) = $0.00375 + $0.0005 = $0.00425 per request.

  2. Writing a short video script

    A request processing 10,000 input tokens and generating 2,000 output tokens. Cost: (10,000 / 1,000,000 * $0.25) + (2,000 / 1,000,000 * $1.00) = $0.0025 + $0.002 = $0.0045 per script.

  3. Extracting metadata from a transcript

    Processing a 60,000 token transcript (near context limit) to extract 1,000 tokens of structured JSON data. Cost: (60,000 / 1,000,000 * $0.25) + (1,000 / 1,000,000 * $1.00) = $0.015 + $0.001 = $0.016 per extraction.

Pay-As-You-Go Rates

The kling api charges strictly per token consumed, ensuring you only pay for actual usage. Input tokens cost $0.25 per million, while output tokens are priced at $1.00 per million. This structure reflects the higher compute cost of generation compared to processing input context. There are no hidden fees for streaming responses or function calling. Since we do not offer subscriptions or monthly retainers, your cost scales linearly with your text workload. This model is ideal for variable usage patterns where you might generate hundreds of prompts one day and only a few the next. You retain full control over your spend by managing your prepaid balance directly.

Credit Bonuses

Prepaid credit purchases include automatic bonus credits to maximize the value of your top-ups. When you load $50, you receive a 5% bonus, effectively giving you $52.50 in usable balance. Loading $100 or more triggers a 10% bonus, providing $110 in balance. These bonuses are added to your account immediately upon successful payment and never expire. This structure rewards larger upfront commitments without locking you into a long-term contract. You can mix and match top-ups of different sizes to optimize your bonus tier based on your current project needs. The bonus credit is indistinguishable from base credit when consumed.

Free Trial

New accounts receive $0.50 in trial credit upon signup, valid for 7 days. No credit card or phone number is required to start testing the uncensored LLM API. This trial allows you to verify integration with your existing SDKs and evaluate model behavior before committing funds. The trial is limited to one per person and cannot be renewed. Once the trial balance is exhausted or the 7-day period expires, you must add prepaid credit to continue using the service. This low-friction entry point lets developers assess latency, token limits, and content filtering behavior without any financial risk.

Payment Methods

We accept crypto (USDT or USDC) for top-ups, starting at a minimum of $10. All payments are processed securely, and your prepaid balance is updated instantly. Since there is no recurring subscription, you are never charged automatically. You can top up as often as needed to maintain your pipeline's workflow. Crypto payments are processed through our integrated gateway, providing an additional layer of privacy for users who prefer decentralized payment methods. Your API key remains active regardless of your balance, but requests will fail if the balance is insufficient to cover the token cost. You can regenerate your API key at any time from your dashboard without affecting your prepaid balance.

Questions and answers

Do I need a subscription to use the kling api?

No. We operate on a strict pay-as-you-go model with no monthly fees or subscriptions. You simply add prepaid credit to your account and pay for the tokens you consume. Your balance decreases with each request, and you can top up whenever you wish.

What happens if my prepaid balance runs out?

Your API key remains valid, but subsequent requests will return an error indicating insufficient funds. You can add more credit at any time via crypto (USDT or USDC), and your balance will be updated instantly. There is no penalty for running out of credit.

How do credit bonuses work?

Bonuses are added automatically when you reach specific top-up thresholds. A $50 purchase gives you a 5% bonus, while a $100 purchase gives you a 10% bonus. The bonus credit is added to your total balance and is used just like base credit for token consumption.

Is the trial credit reusable?

No. The $0.50 trial credit is a one-time offer for new accounts, valid for 7 days from signup. It cannot be renewed or extended. Once the trial expires or the balance is exhausted, you must make a paid top-up to continue using the API.
